Relationships involve two to work; however, when people fall out of love or need their space in marriage, most of the time, it’s a one-sided decision forced on the other half. The vulnerable partner to left wondering, especially in cases where they haven’t done anything wrong. This can be traumatic for the so-called victim (partner) because they rarely get explanations as to how things turned out that way, and even if they do, they can’t comprehend it most of the time.
Recently, retired professional golfer Tom Watson might be experiencing the same pain after his marital relationship with CBS star Leslie Anne Wade ended. A recent post from Wade’s Twitter handle confirmed the ex-lovers had parted ways despite their marriage being barely three months old.
The long-time friends who have known each other for more than a decade officially became husband and wife this year in June. After their marriage, they made their way to compete in the 150th Open Championship at Old Course St. Andrews, Scotland, in the summer.
Thereafter, the couple went private and, unknown to the world, Wade battled a medical condition throughout the period, but it wasn’t specified. “Over the past few months, I have been focused singularly on a challenging road through unexpected illness. Tom has been supportive, including making sure I have the best possible care. I am beyond grateful to him and blessed that I will make complete and full recovery.”
She continued, “Sadly, the inability to launch and build our relationship properly in these early days forces us to terminate our marriage. He will always mean the world to me, and our connection is forever.” However, Tom hasn’t said anything about the tweet, maybe because he feels too heartbroken to put his thoughts into writing. But his retweet of the post could pass as some sort of acknowledgment that the breakup story is real.
Fans took to the CBS star’s comment page to lend their support to her in this trying time. Michael Lombardi, a media analyst, commented, “Wishing you the best.” Right after the post, Wade replied in a confident tone, “Thanks. I have the best. My kids are angels and heroes. I am also grateful for the most amazing people in a most amazing life! Hope to see you soon,” and ended it with a love emoji.
Also, Chick Hernandez, a CBS sportscaster, offered his consoling words and expressed shock at the same time, “The revelation is both heartbreaking and inspiring in the same moment. Some are born with it, some are given it by others, strength. You’re lucky to have both.”
