‘Full House’ Star Jodie Sweetin Says Bob Saget Is ‘Greatly Missed’

The veteran actor Bob Saget played the father figure character Danny Tanner on ABC’s Full House for eight seasons, between 1987 and 1995. In 2016, he reprised his role for the Netflix revival Fuller House, which aired for five seasons and ended in 2020. Sadly, the world will never forget the comedian who died at age 65 after he was found unresponsive in a hotel room in Orlando, Florida. Also, his Full House co-stars remember him for his display of kindness and jovial act.
Recently, Jodie Sweetin, who played the character Stephanie Tanner, Bob’s second child throughout all the 13 seasons of Full House, told Fox News about her relationship with the late icon. “I knew Bob my whole life, Bob was just always so good at including everyone and making everyone feel warm… welcomed, and loved… he’s greatly missed for that,” Jodi reveals. “I can’t believe it’s been 35 years and I can’t believe we have the good fortune to be able to do ‘Fuller House’ for five seasons… and to still be here with everyone, it’s a real gift.”
She continued, “There aren’t enough words to express what I’m feeling today, Nor are they big enough to capture even a slice of who he was. One thing I do know is that we never missed a chance to tell each other, ‘I love you.’ Every time we talked, there were at least three or four exchanged at the end of a conversation, whether it was text, phone call or in person. And he usually had to have the last word, ‘I love you more.’”
“I always remember that the very first episode of ‘Full House’ and the very last one that we filmed was me going out the door and coming back to hug Bob,” Sweetin concluded. “That was like this really wonderful bookend of eight years of that show.”

Also, in an Instagram post, Sweetin praised Bob for being open-minded and selfless. “A wonderful human [Bob] who could drive you nuts at times, and he knew it, but who was so genuine that you couldn’t even get that frustrated, Someone who would also call and profusely apologize for at LEAST 15 minutes if he thought he MAY have perhaps said something he shouldn’t have or thought maybe he took a joke too far,” she claimed. “He was a genuinely kind spirit who made it through so much in his life, and was most happy when he was helping others. Whether it was personally or through SO many of his different avenues of philanthropy. He gave great hugs too. I would always say, ‘you’re the best TV dad ever.’ And he was.”
The TV personality added, “I’ll miss you, Bob, I’ll make sure and tell an inappropriate joke at your funeral. In your honor. I know you would’ve wanted that. But you were supposed to be here longer… How Rude.”
