Ozzy Osbourne’s Health Is Improving After His Major Surgery

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne recently appeared on Good Morning America to share some updates. Several months ago, Ozzy underwent major surgery to fix his neck and his back. The surgery went well and Ozzy revealed that his health is now improving.

In addition to dealing with neck and back pain after an ATV accident in 2003 and a fall in 2019, he was also diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Now, the 73-year-old shared, “Since I had this surgery I have improved significantly.” He added that before surgery, he would always be hunched over. Now, his posture has improved as well.

Sharon talked about how Ozzy was doing before the surgery. She admitted, “These metal plates were working their way out. The debris was rubbing on his spinal cord. He would literally be crying in pain some days.”

Ozzy is even going back to performing! He is set to give his first performance in the United States in two years, tonight on the first day of the NFL season. He will be the half-time performer for the game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Buffalo Bills.

The last time he performed in the U.S. was during the 2019 American Music Awards. He joined Travis Scott and Post Malone for a performance of “Take What You Want.” In other exciting news, his latest solo studio album will be released tomorrow and the family will return to reality television soon in a new BBC docuseries called Home to Roost.

The docuseries will follow the Osbournes as they travel back to the U.K. and adjust to a quieter lifestyle and prepare for another grandchild as their daughter Kelly is currently pregnant.
