People Praise McDonald’s Employee For Kicking Out An Entitled Customer

A video of McDonald’s staff sending a man out of a drive-thru has become quite sensational and gathered lots of views and attention from netizens, but the reasons are contrary to the intention of the customer. The video was posted by a TikToker @ghettogaragebuilds showing a McDonald’s worker reprimanding a customer at a drive-thru window who kept telling staff who were attending to him to refix his drink.

Two varieties of the video were shared online, the first was a 37 seconds-long footage while the second clip was six seconds long, with both reels going viral with over 6.2 million views.

The Cause Of The Altercation

The 37-second video gave insight into the cause of the altercation between the McDonald’s staff and the customer, which resulted from the customer’s claim that the flavor in his drink was not enough. “It’s all on the bottom, see? And now go to a different store. We will not be serving you anymore,” said the worker just before her co-worker closed the window against the customer.

Thinking he was undeserving of the treatment he got, the customer went on to ask why the store would no longer serve him, and the staff replied, “Because every single time we make your drink, it is wrong. Obviously, we cannot satisfy you the first time, and we’re done trying. So, get out of my drive-thru. And you guys called my employee vulgar names.”

A lot of comments have been gathered from the viral video, and those comments have not been in favor of the customer but in support of the employee.

One of the viewers said, “I like her; she’s not McHaving it anymore! Customers, stop being exhausting; it’s just fast food.” Another viewer commented with a question, “Why do I have a feeling that she is in the 100% right here?” A third comment read,” I think we’re all on her side.”

However, the other viewers who gave their comments—some of them also worked within the service industry—decried the attitude and action of the insatiable customer. One of them wrote, “It’s McDonald’s, not a fancy coffee shop. People really be expecting the most for less.”

“Customers act like they’re paying for cashier’s insurance with their entitled behavior. Drive on,” another comment said. Furthermore, a TikToker has openly directed his comments to the management of McDonald’s and urges the Fast-Food company to reward the staff in question. “@McDonald’s, we love this lady! Give her a raise and promotion. Customers don’t have the right to abuse employees,” he said.

The position given by the TikTok user has been supported by certain viewers, especially one who professed to know the woman from the video. This person commented, “She’s Amazing. I worked with her for 8 years before I left McDonald’s. She’s actually the GM of that location.”
