British actress Helen McCrory, best known for her roles in several Harry Potter films, has died. She was only 52 years old and passed away after a battle with cancer. Her husband and fellow actor Damian Lewis confirmed the sad news.
He wrote, “Heartbroken to announce that after an heroic battle with cancer, the beautiful and might woman that is Helen McCrory has died peacefully at home, surrounded by a wave of love from friends and family. She died as she lived. Fearlessly. God we love her and know how lucky we are to have had her in our lives. She blazed so brightly. Go now, Little One, into the air, and thank you.”
Helen was a theater actor and remained dedicated to the craft even as she began to star in television and film roles. She is best known for her role as Narcissa Malfoy in several Harry Potter films. She also appeared in the James Bond movie Skyfall, The Queen, and the series Peaky Blinders.
