It has been reported that Houston Tumlin, best known for acting in the film Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby has died at the young age of 28. TMZ reports that Tumlin sadly died by suicide at his home via a self-inflicted gunshot wound. While investigators have not found a note present at the scene, it was noted that his girlfriend was at the house at the time of his death.
He is best known for his role as Walker Bobby, a potty-mouthed kid of Will Ferrell’s Ricky Bobby character. Other high-profile actors Tumlin had the chance to work with include John C. Reilly and Sacha Baron Cohen.
While the general public knowns Tumlin best for his role in Talladega Nights, someone close to him in posted about the tragic news online, indicating that Tumlin was once a member of the military. “SGT Houston Tumlin came to me as PVT Tumlin,” says Army member named Geoff Carmichael. “He showed a lot of spirit, promise, positive energy and was (hands down) one of my best Soldiers in my company. Came ready to work.”

His statement continues, “Please check on each other. Get help if you need it. We need you.” Rest in peace, Houston Tumlin.
