73-year-old Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed that he had undergone heart surgery. He shared a photo of himself at the hospital and wrote about the experience on social media. Arnold said he had his aortic valve replaced at Ohio’s Cleveland Clinic medical center.
He also shared several photos of himself walking around Cleveland and said he is already recovering well! He wrote, “Thanks to the team at the Cleveland Clinic, I have a new aortic valve to go along with my new pulmonary valve from my last surgery. I feel fantastic and have already been walking the streets of Cleveland enjoying your amazing statues. Thank you to every doc and nurse on my team!”
Arnold has a congenital heart defect which means he has had heart problems his whole life. The surgery comes just two years after he had open-heart surgery to replace a pulmonary valve.
