John Travolta recently honored his late wife Kelly Preston in a tribute post on what would’ve been her 59th birthday. The photos he posted include wedding photos of their own special day alongside photos of Travolta’s parents’ wedding day.
“Happy Birthday hon! I found this photo of my mom and dad’s wedding. It was nice to see ours alongside theirs. All my love, John,” he writes in the caption. Preston sadly passed away earlier this year after a private battle with breast cancer. Travolta confirmed the sad news after she died.
“It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer,” Travolta writes at the time of her passing. “She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many.”

He continues: “My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while. But please know that I will feel your outpouring of love in the weeks and months ahead as we heal. All my love, JT.”
Travolta and Preston originally met while filming 1989’s The Experts. They got married in 1991 and went on to have their late son Jett, Ella, and Benjamin. Travolta himself has remained relatively quiet these days following Preston’s death with the exception of a few social media posts here and there.
