ABBA fans have a lot to be excited about! They just have to wait a little bit longer. Previously, the group announced that they would release new music this summer. Unfortunately, the music has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, they will release their five new songs in 2021.
ABBA had also announced a hologram tour that is currently on hold. Most artists are postponing or canceling their tours due to the pandemic. For those impatient fans, they are releasing a special vinyl box set containing their entire catalog of songs this month.
The new songs were actually recorded back in 2018. There have been delays due to technical difficulties caused by the pandemic. The group will hopefully be able to finish the songs very soon for their 2021 release!

ABBA has promised fans that the new music will be shared next year. According to Consequence of Sound, one song is “a pop tune, very danceable, while another is more timeless, more reflective, [and another is] a self-described Nordic sad, but happy at the same time kind of offering.”
We can’t wait to hear the new tunes! In the meantime, pre-order the vinyl box set here.
