71-year-old Grease star Olivia Newton-John is battling stage four breast cancer, but she’s not letting it slow her down. She admits that she’s actually “feeling great” in a new interview. In the same interview, she opens up about the close bond she shares with her daughter Chloe Rose Lattanzi, who is 33.
“I’m feeling great thank you, I was sick earlier in the year but I am doing better now,” Newton-John says, regarding her health. “I feel a lot of love from people and a lot of prayers and they really help.”

Newton-John is also more than happy to discuss her daughter, Chloe, saying that they have a “very special” relationship. “She’s a wonderful girl,” the actress says.
She continues, “Actually she tells me that as a little girl when I was on tour she would put on Grease to help her go to sleep. I don’t know how long I was gone, but she knows every word, every song!” Turns out her daughter was the #1 Grease fan after all!
How Newton-John’s health progress is going
Newton-John was originally diagnosed with cancer in 2017 but had battled it previously as well in 1992 and 2013. She has been incredibly open in the use of medical cannabis to help manage her pain easier and, overall, kill cancer cells to the best of its ability. This has allowed the star to regain a better quality of life. Another celebrity to use medical cannabis was the late Beth Chapman.
Newton-John spoke at the Wellness Walk and Research Run in Melbourne earlier this month. “I’m right here, right now, alive and healthy,” she says to the crowd. “I was flat on my back in the centre [the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre] and this year, through treatment and medicinal cannabis, I am feeling fantastic. I hope to be able to soon offer that to everyone – that’s my dream.”
Newton-John continues to further educate others on the benefits of medical cannabis/holistic healing in general. She also hopes to see the drug legalized everywhere for others battling cancer, so they can also experience the benefits and better quality of life.
